Freshly mixed and successfully networked: mobile drinks bar promotes networking

A mobile drinks bar is a great way to spice up a networking event and create a relaxed, communicative atmosphere. To highlight this opportunity, we interviewed Max from the myKaiserstuhl agency in Freiburg for you. Since July 2022, the mobile drinks bar has been the highlight at the company's networking events.

The myKaiserstuhl GmbH shows: a mobile drinks bar promotes networking. Actually, myKasierstuhl sees itself as a digital partner and social media expert for regional businesses in the Kaiserstuhl area around Freiburg. But even as an agency, a mobile business can be launched with a sales trailer! Since last summer, myKaiserstuhl has been on the road with a mobile drinks bar and has already been able to get a lot of networking going. In this blog article, you will learn first-hand how agency life can be combined with a mobile sales trailer and how the offer is being received in the Kaiserstuhl.

The networking platform myKaiserstuhl

The company myKaiserstuhl is an event and networking platform far beyond the regional borders of the Kaiserstuhl. Out of conviction and love for the Kaiserstuhl, the creative minds behind myKaisertsuhl have made it their mission to spread topics about the region on social media, to create a platform that connects business, culture and leisure in the region and to provide relevant information about it. After all, the Kaiserstuhl and its surrounding area offer an incredibly diverse landscape and exciting options for combining leisure and professional life.

Best practice: mobile drinks bar promotes networking

In order to create a contact point for serving wine to customers at the numerous events, myKaiserstuhl wanted a mobile solution. With the Wine Buddy, the perfect partner was found in the form of a mobile drinks bar in an eye-catching retro design.

Almost three quarters of a year after myKaiserstuhl started with the Buddy, we interviewed the managing director Max exclusively for you and now give you an insight into the synergies of networking and mobile drinks bar.

Max, how did the idea of a mobile drinks bar come about?

As a networking platform, we organise numerous events throughout the year. What we were missing was a mobile contact point where we could serve drinks. After all, what could promote networking better than providing drinks in a nicely decorated and informal atmosphere? And due to our location in the Kaiserstuhl region, it should of course be wine that is primarily served. With the Wine Buddy, we have finally found the ideal partner on wheels.

What advantages do you see in running a mobile drinks bar alongside your classic event business?

At classic events, people experience what they are used to. The mobile wine Buddy, on the other hand, is a real eye-catcher and centre of attraction that brings with it numerous advantages: thanks to the mobility of the sales trailer, we can use it virtually anywhere and are not tied to fixed event locations with our offer. The Buddy thus promises us maximum independence in our choice of location. Thanks to its modern appearance, the Buddy is immediately noticeable – this makes it a great contact point at our events and brings a real recognition value. In addition, it fits wonderfully into our corporate concept with the claim to serve our customers high-quality and cool wine during our events. The easy handling with quick assembly and disassembly and the extensive equipment naturally play a huge role here.

What requirements did you have for your mobile drinks bar?

Easy handling was particularly important to us: everything should be ready to hand and the trailer itself should be of a compact size so that no additional trailer licence is needed. This makes it much easier and more flexible to use. We also envisioned an individual design in line with our corporate identity to create recognition value. In addition, we naturally need sufficient cooling facilities for serving wine at our events. As a little extra, we also wanted an ice cube machine so that we can also mix wine cocktails in our Buddy – this makes our offer even more special. Apart from that, we paid a lot of attention to hygiene standards, such as a sink and soap dispensers for the staff’s daily use. So that we can also use other mobile devices within our Buddy, the power connections could not be neglected either, of course. All these points were no problem for BuddyStar and could be implemented individually!

How many bottles of wine fit into your mobile drinks bar and how many glasses can you serve with it?

Our Buddy can hold around 70 bottles, which means we can serve around 400 glasses. This means that we can easily cover an event and promote networking – without the guests having to sit on dry land.

Why did you decide to buy a trailer from BuddyStar?

At BuddyStar, we were able to enjoy very competent and uncomplicated advice right from the start – from the first contact, it was just right! In addition, all our individual wishes were directly taken into account and the price-performance ratio was also right. That’s why we can only recommend BuddyStar.

How did the launch of your mobile drinks bar go?

At the beginning, it took us a while to understand the whole system and how to set it up and take it down. But we got to grips with it very quickly – once we understood it, the Buddy now sets itself up almost by itself. The more people got involved with it, the more the Buddy became part of our team and today we can’t imagine life without it.

Where can you be found everywhere with your Buddy?

We primarily use our Buddy to serve wine at our networking events. We also use it as a point of contact for information at our events and as a benefit serving option at public events.

So our Buddy not only serves to serve drinks, but also as a kind of promotional trailer. You can find us with our Buddy in and around Freiburg – within a radius of about 50 kilometres.

What experiences have you had with your Buddy so far?

Thanks to its unique retro look, it is an eye-catcher at every event and the feedback is very positive. People often approach us just because of the eye-catching design, which also makes it much easier for us to talk to customers and partners. It also creates an inviting atmosphere and gives our guests an opportunity to relax. The short refreshment can thus recharge their batteries and continue to produce. With the cooling facilities, we can also store the wine of our partners or the winegrowers ideally and guarantee our guests perfect enjoyment.

What are your plans for the future?

Our goal is to further promote the myKaiserstuhl networking platform. Our Buddy plays an important role in this: it acts as a recognition anchor in the region, a contact point for partners and customers, and ensures perfect wine enjoyment in between.

Finally, 3 tips from you to other people in the event sector who want to start with a mobile sales trailer:

  • Allow enough time for assembly and disassembly – at least the first few times.
  • Design the Buddy in line with your company philosophy and corporate identity – for the perfect recognition value.
  • Be active on social media – there is tremendous potential for outreach here.

Thank you for your time and insights into your business, Max. We wish you a continued successful year!
